To make events feel festive at our house, I like to try new recipes on my family and friends..., especially on big occasions. Add to that my wish to do a post for the Super Bowl since it has become such a popular event...did you know they are talking about making it a National Holiday? Unfortunately, time sorta got away from me and I didn't get to post this as early as I had hoped, but it was STILL too good not to share for the next gathering you may be planning!
I ran across this recipe the other day and it seemed perfect for a party. It's called (drumroll, please...) Party Loaf! I knew my family would love it since fresh baked bread is high on the fav list! The hardest part of the recipe for me was remembering to set the frozen dough out to thaw and rise. After that, it was easy breezy.
Party Loaf (serves 8-12)
Ingredients - 1 loaf of Rhodes bread dough, thawed but cold
Diced green onions, Hormel Real Bacon Pieces, and your favorite cheese, sliced or shredded. The loaf can be tailored by adding your family favorites, for example - Jalapeno slices, Pepperoni minis, mushrooms, olives, etc.
I didn't make a dip for ours, instead I opted to use an entire bag of shredded Swiss cheese on the loaf. It was delicious!
First, I placed a Rhodes Bake-N-Serve loaf out to thaw in a bowl sprayed with Pam Butter.
Then, I rolled out the dough loaf 2-3 times longer than the original size and placed it in a greased bundt pan. I covered it with Saran wrap and allowed it to rise to twice its size.
Once it had risen, I removed the Saran wrap and baked it at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until lightly browned.
I allowed the bread to cool, and then sliced it through the middle of the circle and then into one-inch sections (side-to-side) without cutting completely through. Next, I loaded it up with cheese (in this instance, shredded Swiss), real bacon pieces and chopped green onions.

I put the loaf back in the oven for 5-10 minutes or until the cheese had melted completely. Make a dip, if desired. Serve warm. ENJOY!!
